The evening of Tuesday, December 16th was a celebration of food and friends at the Lindheimer NPSOT chapter’s December meeting at Tye Preston Memorial Library.

The Hospitality Committee provided multiple varieties of freshly produced tamales, while members and guests provided side dishes and desserts.

After camaraderie and a hearty meal with fellowship, a Secret Santa gift exchange ushered in a hint of competitiveness to the festivities.  The gifts covered categories ranging from books to plants to gardening tools to household treasures.

Numbers were drawn and gifts were opened one by one.

During the gift unwrapping, many items exchanged hands from the original recipient to covetous new owners.  A limit on the number of exchanges and an opportunity for the last gift opener to trade for any unrestricted gift item evened out the playing field.

Everyone appreciated the leadership of the Secret Santa emcee, Becky Bigelow.  We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
