On Saturday, October 18th, the tour will cover 3 ecosystems:  prairie, riparian, and woodland.  The map below indicates the location of hundreds of species of native trees.  There will likely also be present native birds, butterflies, bees, and various free-roaming species of deer.

The Dominick Arboretum is located off Hwy 3159 and South Cranes Mill Road, in the Waggener Ranch Subdivision, at 311 Clear Lake Drive, New Braunfels, TX 78132.  Leon and Becky Dominick will be the hike and tour guides and will provide for Waggener Ranch gate access, parking, cold water, and safety orientation.

While the main tour of the arboretum will take place from 9:00 – 10:30 am, two optional tours will be available to interested persons:

8:00 – 8:45 am        Driving tour around Waggener Ranch to view the safari-like 830 acres of exotic wildlife (Audad Sheep, Arabian Oryx, Blackbuck, Sika, Fallow, Axis, and White-tailed deer).

10:30 – 11:30 am   Walking tour of 1 acre of terraced perennial, wildflower, fruit & nut, vegetable, and water gardens surrounding the Dominick home.

Wear sturdy shoes, hats, and sun screen protection.  Terrain is moderate. Bring a camera, woody plant books, and questions.  Please, no pets.

A maximum of 20 attendees must register in advance to insure a place in the tour(s) with Leon Dominick ldominickpm@gmail.com and/or Christina Campbell cvo3310@gmail.com
