Nancy _x_ Christina _x_ Mike Laffey __ Jan Walker _x_ (Quorum met, 9 of 7 required).<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Old Business<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mike Laffey \u2013 review proposed changes to the By-Laws.&nbsp; Updated version approved at the May 19th chapter meeting (picnic).&nbsp; Dick will load the new version on the web site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>State Society<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sara talked about upcoming events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is a membership survey out, please take it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Fall Symposium is Oct. 4-6.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>President\u2019s Report: Sara Torres, Acting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Continue Board meetings at TPML at 9:30, on the second Tuesday, reserved for January to April at TPML.\u00a0 During construction our Board can meet in the Chamber of Commerce meeting room.\u00a0 We will hold our chapter meetings at Mammen Family Public Library during construction.\u00a0 Nancy has reserved a room at the Mammen Library for the June, July, August, and September chapter meetings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please turn in your Event Liability Forms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nancy has offered to update the Chapter pages on the State website, mainly the event pages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Workday to replace storage shed flooring.\u00a0 The flooring has been replaced, unfortunately the roof is now leaking.\u00a0 Workday June 19 to seal it at Sara Torres&#8217;s place.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Secretary\u2019s Report:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dick Bigelow, <strong>VOTE<\/strong> to approve minutes.\u00a0 Dick made a motion to approve the March, April, and May minutes.\u00a0 Jan seconded.\u00a0 Unanimous approval.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Treasurer\u2019s Report<\/strong>: Sarah Mato<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The bank balance as of 06\/3\/26 is $3,434.96.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please email all receipts to Sarah.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All NLCP receipts have been submitted to the State for reimbursement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Update on 2025 audit.\u00a0 Being worked on.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Director of Formal Education: <\/strong>Craig Bruska<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Native Seed Library Program, upcoming workdays<ul><li>June 11th (second Thursday) Mammen seed cleaning 2-4 PM.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>June 12th (second Friday) TPML seed cleaning 2-4 PM.<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>June 18th (third Thursday) Garden Ridge seed cleaning 1-3 PM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>September 19th NLCP 2 Mammen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>October 31st NLCP 3 Mammen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Debbie, Leon, and Craig are redoing the NLCP I, II, and III plant walk lists for the new locations they will be taught at.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NLCP IV is being updated to comply with US Government changes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are plenty of seeds being returned to the libraries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Director of Community Outreach: <\/strong><em>Sara Torres, Acting<\/em><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Demonstration Gardens<\/strong>:\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heritage Museum of the Texas Hill Country &#8211; the Curator of Cacti &amp; Succulents of the Zilker Botanical Garden in Austin, speaking on \u201cCacti &amp; Succulents of South Texas\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Field Trip Chair:<\/strong> Christina Campbell<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Looking at new field trips, nothing definite yet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Membership<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>As of 6-2-26 107 primary members + 38 affiliates = 145 total.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Hospitality<\/strong>: Jan Walker<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>May 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 was our chapter picnic, it went really well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>New Business<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A month or so ago, Joanne Hall from STG invited me to join Alignable which is a networking system.\u00a0 I accepted the invitation and have been very conservative with connections, but because I missed the last board meeting it was never discussed.\u00a0 I would like to know if the board wants to continue this or leave the group.\u00a0 Bev, suggests sticking to MailChimp, she says Alignable is for Business 2 Business which we are probably not qualified for.\u00a0 Debbie will continue to evaluate this.\u00a0 Our chapter will not join.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Debbie attended the Bring Back the Monarchs organization meeting.\u00a0 They are looking at doing a tiered structure which would have the chapters looking at applications for way stations in their area to validate that the proposed plants are native locally.\u00a0 There was discussion about concern that many local chapters could or would not participate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adjourned at 10:53 AM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lindheimer Chapter Board Minutes June 2026 (Preliminary) 9:30 AM 6\/9\/26.&nbsp;&nbsp;
